Mum is that a picture of a rooster? No it’s a hen Camille. Hens lay eggs, they are the girls, roosters are the boys. But Mum I’m a rooster? (born in the year of the rooster)
HP does that spell happy Mum?
Doing backward and forward rolls in the pool
Has learnt the difference between living and non-living, and has started asking what is living or not
Some understanding of time, but a bit hit and miss
Can count to 100, can read numbers to 100, beginning bigger numbers (by reading street numbers)
Can finally wipe, fluch, clean and dry hands at the toilet
Thinking about adding up eg 2+3 = using fingers
Can spell everything and can write (of a fashion) all letters
Loves to write letters and post them
Can tie knots, but not bows yet
Can cross the monkey bar at Johnson Park
Apparently can recognise some Chinese characters
Cute /funny things
After winning a game, cried out ‘I’ve go the yellow jersey!’
Sorry I was mean to your friends (after refusing to talk to book club ladies)
Call Dad Timbuktu and mummy Vickibuktu
Waking up at 5 am remembering ‘Mum we forgot to put the milk out for Santa’
That’s a very small bed Mum, let’s do top to tail
Someone at crèche was saying Jesus, and Camille was told not to say it. So when I was reading the Christmas story camille learnt that it was Ok to say baby Jesus. Later she was heard around the house saying when cross baby Jesus!’
I’m in a marching band (while wearing her tartan skirt)
Wearing her new ballet shoes to bed
Love to be swept around the floor with a broom like dirt
Crying her heart out when picked up by her dad and having to sit in the front. By the next day she was asking for a ride in the truck!
That’s OK Dad you can pick me up in the SAAB (and not the truck)
Can we go to the old market Mum (= can we buy some jam doughnuts)
When gloomy shadows come I can shine my light (=torch) on it
‘We need headbands to practise (tennis)
On when you’re speaking French can you say wee/oui
There’s only two seasons to my birthday, so that’s not a very long time (ie summer and autumn) She probably went to an owl meeting (after reading the story about Owl babies)
My 2 veronica’s = 2 harmonicas
What’s that Bix doing? Fannanbagging
I’m not 16. I’m not very keen on boys (after watching Sleeping Beauty who is 16 and in love)
Let’s go to Fairyfields Library (because she is dying to have a party at Fairyfields in Fairfield)

Running through the sprinkler together on a hot summer’s night
Holding Nanna’s hand during the scary bits of Sleeping Beauty. Was Nanna scared? ‘Yes but she got through it’

This is the summer of the ice-cream, soft serve or in a cone or on stick or from Mr. Whippy. Mangoes and most fruits are real favourites.
