Nanna's New Knee

Putting on a brave face

We can happily report that Nanna has made a splendid recovery. Equipped with a new knee, Nana is now back to her old self (well almost), going to movies, bookclub, the MTC and aqua aerobics. There were a few grim moments in the early days, with unbearable pain and a lack of mobility. But with grim determination Nanna dutifully completed all exercises and has made a fantastic recovery. Allez Nanna!!
(Special mention and thanks must be given to Nanna's No. One carer, Pa, who looked after her so well during the gruelling recovery. Not an easy task at times I'm sure.)

Ouch!

Feel it hot hot hot....!!

Mesmerised by those Wiggles

At 41 degrees there was only one word for it HOT. Milly and Miss Mei ushered in the New Year by skinny dipping in the backyard at Mei’s place, followed by icy poles in front of the Wiggles. Just perfect.
Our girls’ first year in Australia is now officially over. What joy these gorgeous little girls have brought us, with many more years to come. Happy New Year!

Miss Mei Turns Two

The Happy Birthday Girl

Happy birthday to Mei!

Just look at that cake.............!

Miss Mei Fang Gethen the last of the Suixi girls to turn two, celebrated the day with a party at her place on the 27th of December. Mei’s Mum Ruth made a fabulous Barbie birthday cake and must now surely be elevated to the rank of supermom. What’s more, Mei’s dad Chris organised a treasure hunt, the concept of which even us wee littlies quickly grasped, so we all managed to end up with a handful of treats.
Happy birthday Mei!
(And sorry for the belated entry Mei, all my Mum’s fault)
