Waking at ~ 6am, bed at 6:30 to 7:30. Mum still required to be in the bed with her until she falls asleep (fortunately it doesn’t take long). In bed with Mum and Dad during the night. Sometimes having very bad night terrors, screaming for ~20 minutes eg at the Bendigo get-together.

Cute Things
I’m just tending/just joking(to pick her nose). Don’t be bossy Mum. We’re going on a journey. Hi five cut for toast please Emma. . I got idea. We’re going to the taliban (caravan) for a holiday. I’m a bit, bit sick. When I was a baby in China (I used to lie on top of you to go to sleep). I’m filthy. You look cute Mum. Pretending to go to sleep with Dada (both of them snoring). I’m a little bit scared (of lions, sharks, the vacuum cleaner, the car wash)

Elaborate good nights with kisses through the stairs. Giving the stairs a number ‘step 8 step zero’. Taking socks out of her drawer in the middle of the night and bringing them into us. Correcting Mum’s pronunciation ‘no Mum, say hay de ho’. Saying sadly that Pa would be ‘all by himself’. Calls herself ‘chef’ when she helps Mummy cook. Calls Mum ‘Bixy Wix’ and her dad ‘Timmy Tom’.

Beijing Olympics Begin 8-08-08

The big day has finally arrived. Our fuwa (mascot) is Huanhuan, the red one. He inspires everyone to be strong and represents the red olympic ring. No doubt the opening ceremony will be spectacular.

In Bendigo with the Suixi gang (sans Mei Mei)

My first pony ride with Cinnamon

Who knows where the days all go? Working on Mondays, swimming on Tuesdays, crèche on Wednesdays, playgroup and playtime with Mei on Thursday, and dancing on Fridays. No wonder the weeks feel like a blur. And yet I can say without any hesitation that these are amongst the happiest days of my life
