And so this is Christmas

Memories

This special photo was taken just moments after I met little Camille for the first time. I remember being totally overwhelmed, but determined not to cry too much so that Camille would be confused or scared. I remember she played with my necklace and had a very serious little look about her.

It’s hard to believe that 12 months have passed. My life is so full of happy moments looking after a busy little toddler. I’d never dreamed that dear little Camille would be able to adjust so well to her new life. She is remarkable: bright, happy and full of energy.

How lucky Tim and I are to have her in our lives.

My birthday

To think that just one year ago today, I left on my birthday to travel to China to meet and bring home my gorgeous little girl Camille. How the year has flown and is full of such happy memories.

Today Camille helped me celebrate my special day, opening presents for me, cutting the cake and even singing happy birthday to her mummy (aka bix, her new nickname for me)
