Ocean Grove

Even when it’s cold we love going down to the beach to get some fresh air and have a bit of time out from city life. The Goodmans have had their caravan at Ocean Grove for about 35 years. We've watched it grow from a small seaside town to large sprawling suburb of Geelong. But that doesn't worry us too much. As we are only 300m walk from the beach, we are oblivious to the new housing developments (although it must be said it does get a tad!! busy during January). Which of course makes our winter trips all the better.

Tim is not too keen on the beach in the summer experience but he does love to watch the ships come through the head, and the maritime history of the area. Using his binoculars he checks out what birds are about, and he's even sighted dolphins in Queenscliff

Every time we come there is the obligatory trip to Queenscliff for fish and chips and a walk to the lighthouse at Pt. Lonsdale. Lately we've taken to walking to Barwon Heads which has some fantastic coffee shops.

Camille adores visiting the caravan (aka the taliban) and spends her time frolicking on the sand, jumping waves, digging holes and generally having a wow of a time.
